Located in Wellington: We started off for many years in Oriental Bay, and have recently moved to Roxburgh Street, a gorgeous spacious salon the lively community of Mt Victoria (city end).

Shine is a modern, light-filled salon, blending the energy of an inner-city space with a relaxing vibe. It’s the perfect spot for you to unwind and treat yourself to amazing hair.

Our Trainee: Caitlyn is always keen to grow her skills & knowledge, - at different times we are looking for people for her to gain extra skills on, for hands on experience. Let us know if you are interested in Caitlyn as a trainee do your hair at reduced price, services are limited to what stage in her training she is at. At the moment we are looking for weekly blow dry clients.

Our Cancellation Policy at Shine

We understand that life can sometimes get in the way, and you might need to cancel or reschedule your appointment for reasons beyond your control. To ensure we can offer your spot to another client, we kindly ask that you provide at least 48 hours for cancellations or changes to your appointment. Hair extensions, seperate policy below.

Cancellations made within 48 hours of your scheduled time will incur a cancellation fee: with the exception of hair extensions, policy below.

• $50 fee for smaller services

• Up to 50% of the appointment cost for larger services, if we are unable to fill your spot

  We value both your time and ours, and last-minute changes can be difficult to accommodate. We send text reminders 3 days before your appointment, so please be sure to contact us as early as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule.

• Hair Extension Appointment Policy

  For hair extension appointments, we require a non-refundable deposit to secure your booking. This deposit will be applied toward the total cost of your appointment.

  Cancellations:
  The deposit becomes non-refundable if you cancel within 10 days of your scheduled appointment, regardless of when the appointment was originally booked. However, in certain circumstances, we may make exceptions to this policy on a case-by-case basis. If you need to discuss a special situation, please don’t hesitate to contact us as soon as possible.

Please keep us updated if any of your details change, so we can ensure everything is accurate for your upcoming appointment. We understand that life can sometimes get in the way, but last-minute cancellations and no-shows can be challenging for small businesses like ours. This policy helps us cover overhead costs and ensures we can continue providing exceptional service to all of our clients.

We use K18 & Olaplex ranges in your hair to restore damaged and compromised hair, or add it to another service to provide the ultimate breakage insurance.

Patented active chemistry works at the molecular level to repair damaged and broken bonds in the hair that are caused by chemical, thermal, and mechanical damage.
